About the Role

Position Overview The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through services such as building management, information technology, contracting, budgeting, space planning, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and state retirement system oversight. This position is within the Agency Services area of DTMB. Responsibilities This advanced position provides production support, evaluates possible solutions, develops alternative solutions, recommends technical modifications, designs, develops, and maintains applications across multiple platforms for the Michigan Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (MiSACWIS) and the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS). Location Lansing, MI. Hybrid work requires two days on‑site and three days remote per week. Benefits Sign‑on bonus up to $2,500 (up to $1,250 paid upon hire; remainder paid after 12‑month probation). Not applicable to current state employees. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics. Experience Two years of professional experience equivalent to Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11. Possession of an associate’s degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics plus two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or IT technician, or two years of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may substitute for the education requirement. High school diploma plus four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, IT technician, or four years of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may substitute for the education requirement.
