About the Role
We are seeking an IT Applications Team Lead in our Broomfield, CO, or Brooklyn Park, MN location. As IT Applications Team Lead, you will be responsible for the ownership of our IT applications platforms and tools. You will lead a team of Application admins, analysts, and engineers who design, implement, configure, maintain, and support our applications, platforms, and tools. This role will report to the Sr. Manager of IT Apps and will work in partnership with our IT Infrastructure and Support Teams to ensure integration and alignment with our critical infrastructure. You will engage with business teams, partners, and vendors across the globe to propose and implement business‑aligned solutions and oversee and improve the processes and metrics that drive the team's work on projects and issues, ensuring high quality deliverables to the business. Key Responsibilities: Strong technical understanding of our current and future applications landscape Enterprise application server deployment and maintenance for on‑prem applications using Windows and Linux servers as well as containerized clusters (Docker & Kubernetes) Database deployment and management across various technologies (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) Implementation, configuration, and support of SaaS tools (Salesforce, Smartsheet, Box, DocuSign, etc.) Integrations using iPaaS, APIs, and other tools Azure SSO enablement and integration System availability and performance monitoring tools License server and license usage monitoring tools Act as the technical lead, support, and mentor a team of Application admins, analysts, and engineers Own and maintain the application inventory, and the process to audit and approve new applications Coordinate with business units, program managers, and architects to define the applications roadmap Conduct regular team meetings to track project progress and resolve issues Provide technical guidance and support to the Applications team Develop and mature the agile product development, support, and change management processes of the Apps team to efficiently track work, prioritize, and deliver quality Own the metrics that measure the team's success Develop and mature the security and financial controls, procedures, and audits to ensure compliance Own and monitor key platforms: System performance, upgrades, patches, stability, and security Support vendor relationships, budgets, contracts, and renewals in cooperation with our Sourcing and Procurement teams Ability to travel up to 10% YOU MUST HAVE: Bachelor's Degree minimum required 6+ years of experience deploying and supporting enterprise platforms and application technologies (Atlassian, Workday, Smartsheet, etc.) minimum required 6+ years of experience deploying and supporting engineering and software development tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, FlexLM, etc.) minimum required 6+ years of Windows and Linux system administration minimum required Due to contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder, or a worker granted asylum or refugee status Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen WE VALUE: Bachelor's degree in information technology or Computer Science preferred Proven experience leading technology teams, projects, and support Excellent time management and organizational skills Experience with requirements gathering, vendor selection, and vendor relationships Enterprise level experience as an applications administrator with significant ownership of platforms, tools, and services Experience with virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies Experience with app rationalization, user audits, and utilization measurements Proven track record of delivering successful business outcomes during periods of rapid growth in a start‑up environment Strong understanding of the needs of a business doing engineering, R&D, and software development, in addition to standard business functions Solid understanding of networking and security principles and best practices Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills A desire to work side‑by‑side and engage with partners on challenging problems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders Certifications and training in relevant technologies Compensation & Benefits: The pay range for this role is $138,000 – $175,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
