Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care and maintain responsibility for the standard of practice for the assigned patient population
Assume full accountability for all clinical decision-making during times of service, including responsibility for maintaining a private office as applicable
Provide scheduled office appointments and after-hours call coverage for patients of the practice
Coordinate and obtain call coverage by other medical staff members for holidays, vacations, and other approved time off
Serve as an advisor and consultant in the development and implementation of operational and administrative policies for the practice, including purchasing and capital planning, managed care participation, budgeting and practice expenses, Medicare and Medicaid participation, billing and collections, personnel policies, and practice management decisions
Maintain responsibility for all risk management, quality assurance, and coding and documentation compliance activities related to the practice
Ensure clinical documentation meets regulatory, payer, and institutional standards and participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Participate in community and professional service activities, including speaking engagements, educational programs, writing, and special clinical initiatives, as reasonably requested
Support the academic mission of SLUCare and Saint Louis University School of Medicine through collaboration, professionalism, and mentorship, as applicable
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the practice and organization

Qualifications
- MD or DO medical degree
- Board-certified/board-eligible in Internal Medicine (or equivalent)
- License to practice medicine in Missouri
