The Role
This is a hybrid Applications Engineer / Customer Success position where you’ll act as the technical backbone of the sales process — and a trusted advisor to customers after the sale.
You’ll partner closely with outside sales to:
- Evaluate incoming opportunities and develop winning technical approaches
- Create estimates, proposals, and customized solutions
- Support customers through the sales cycle and beyond
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both problem-solving AND relationship-building — someone equally comfortable reviewing specs and talking through solutions with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with outside sales on lead qualification and solution strategy
- Develop quotes, estimates, and technical proposals
- Serve as a primary technical contact for customers pre- and post-sale
- Conduct product/sample testing with customers (onsite & internal)
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure customer satisfaction and long-term success
- Identify opportunities for upselling and expanded solutions
What They’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude (processing or capital equipment experience preferred)
- Engineering degree OR equivalent hands-on experience in applications, service, or technical sales support
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers — not just technically strong, but personable (“gift of gab” matters here)
- Experience working with custom or engineered-to-order equipment is a big plus
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based sales environment

- Base salary up to $100K + bonus
