The Department which includes 20 subspecialty divisions along with our freestanding Children's Hospital presently provides 160,000 patient encounters annually with close to 10,000 inpatient admissions and over 35,000 pediatric emergency room visits.
The Department has been recognized as the best teaching clinical rotation for 32 out of the last 35 years. Opportunities in quality improvement, research, and clinical trials exist locally and systemwide with our \"sister\" Children's Hospital in Greenville through our Children's Service Line.
