Job Overview Position Title: Desktop Support Analyst Classification: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE) Salary: $4,935.00 – $8,740.00 (range varies by classification level A–D) Location: Alameda County Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Major Functions Provides administrative and technical support on printers, computers, laptops, and tablets. Participates in the system development life cycle (analysis, design, build, test, maintenance, operations). Manages end‑user device life‑cycle, including procurement, deployment, installation, configuration, maintenance, operations, and surplus. Delivers end‑user training on client technology configuration and usage. Collaborates with peers and management to update and recommend standards, processes, procedures, and technology practices. Tracks, monitors, and audits IT assets to maintain accountability using asset‑management tools and techniques in compliance with applicable policies. Provides customer support via Virtual Service Desk (remote assistance over the phone) and serves as a member of the D4‑IT Field Support Team delivering onsite support. Performs additional related functions including researching, writing, reporting, and presenting as required. Qualifications & Eligibility Eligibility is determined by the Information Technology Associate examination score. Required to be on the state examination list if not currently a state civil servant or if new to state employment. Minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview. For education‑based eligibility, unofficial transcripts or diplomas must be provided. Foreign transcripts and degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency; authorized agencies include NACES and AICE. #J-18808-Ljbffr
