The Role We are looking for a Data Engineer to support government data analysis and analytic development. You will work with big data systems and complex structured/unstructured datasets to author data transforms and statistical analytics that ensure data quality and conformance. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle technical complexities while working both independently and as part of a collaborative team to meet client objectives. What You'll Bring Experience: Technical BS + 9 years of relevant experience (4 additional years of experience can substitute for a degree). Technical Skills: Strong Python skills for scripting and data manipulation, and experience with SQL databases (Postgres) including debugging. Core Competencies: Fluency in ETL processes (extraction, translation, and loading), data prep, and labeling. Data Governance: Expertise in defining and governing data schemas (XSD, ECS, SQL, or JSON Schema) to ensure normalization. Formatting: Familiarity with log formats such as JSON and XML. Desired Extras: Experience with Java/Maven, Docker/Kubernetes for model deployment, and prior experience in cyber or network security operations. Certifications: DoD IAT II or higher (Sec+, etc) required for consideration. *Please note: Applicants may be required to complete a coding challenge during the interview process per customer requirements.
