About us:

Come grow with us! The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) located in Vinita, OK is a 24 hour/365 day secure inpatient forensic facility that provides jail competency services for the State of Oklahoma. Currently, OFC has 268 beds for consumers who have been found incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. OFC is expanding with new construction scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2025 adding an additional 84 beds. When completed, OFC will have a total of 352 beds to house consumers.

About the Position:

Here at the Oklahoma Forensic Center the Custodial department is looking for a Housekeeping/Custodial worker who would be responsible for the care and cleaning of an inpatient forensic facility along with other simple duties as required.

Job Type/Salary:

Open/Close dates: 01/12/2026-01/25/2026

Full-time

Hourly Salary is: Level I-$13.70/hr, Level II-$14.66

Shift differential when applicable

Primary Working Hours are: 7:00am-3:30pm

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Primary Work Location/Department: Oklahoma Forensic Center, Vinita, Ok/Custodial

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Level I None

Level II- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of six months experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be able to pass an OSBI background check.

Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 40 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
