Housekeeper

Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Services, he/she is responsible for sustaining an aseptic environment in all areas of the hospital by cleaning rooms, making beds, replenishing linens, maintaining floors and ceilings.

Responsibilities:

• Routinely cleans patient rooms, North and South nursing units, offices, and common areas.
• Empty trash in patient rooms and at the stations.
• Watch for hazards and report as necessary.
• Collect dirty laundry from all patient areas and distribute the clean linen back to the appropriate areas.
• Clean rooms after patient discharges.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2 years' experience in a hospital environment

Physical Requirements:

• Physical movements include sitting, reaching, bending, climbing stairs, stooping and stretching.
• Able to lift 40 lbs without assistance.
• Visual acuity is required.
• Possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate cleaning equipment.
