Hazmat Truck Driver

Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Automated Fuels Delivery division our of Madison, WI territory. We are looking for a Driver/Delivery Specialist to transport loads of Petroleum - Diesel and Gas from surrounding terminals to end users.  You must have a good work ethic with professional communications skills.

*This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus 

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver product to customers in a safe, timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow all CHS Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Prepare or adjust HazMat placards correctly for each load.
  • Follow all guidelines and regulations for hauling petroleum products.
  • Maintain electronic logs and onboard computer with each delivery and pickup.
  • Perform all DOT, pre-trip, post-trip and inter-trip inspections.
  • Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of any needed repairs.
  • Report all incidents such as injuries, spills, property damage, accidents, traffic violations and damage to vehicles.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. 

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Class A or B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Additional Qualifications

  • Must meet DOT and Company requirements
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demands
  • Bulk liquid experience preferred
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
