Sub Custodian

The Custodian ensures cleanliness, safety, and compliance with established standards. This role entails keeping a designated area of a school building clean and ready for students to enter and learn.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work within a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Stamina to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Comfort working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust.

• Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs and specialized cleaning tasks.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Complete training on proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Address any hazards or concerns promptly.
