Er Registered Nurse

Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, part of Mission Health, is seeking a compassionate and skilled ER Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals of all ages who present to our emergency department with a wide range of acute and urgent conditions. Working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment, you will perform comprehensive assessments, triage patients based on acuity, initiate evidence-based interventions, administer medications and treatments, and continuously monitor patient status to ensure safety and optimal outcomes. You will collaborate closely with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, laboratory and imaging teams, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans, support rapid response and resuscitation efforts, and facilitate safe admissions, transfers, or discharges. As an ER Registered Nurse at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, you will educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-up care, and community resources while demonstrating empathy, clear communication, and cultural sensitivity. You will accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record, follow all regulatory and hospital policies, and contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized emergency department environment.
