SUMMARY
This role supports the Endpoint Team by owning vulnerability and compliance remediation for Windows endpoints across a large environment (~7,000 devices). The team is currently overwhelmed with patching and deployment work, and while Tanium provides strong visibility through its Comply module, there is not enough time or dedicated focus to act on everything it surfaces. This contractor will work almost entirely within Tanium, not day‑to‑day support tickets, to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps on Windows 11 workstations across dev, test, and production environments. The goal is to clean up backlog, reduce risk, and help stabilize the endpoint security posture. This is a hands‑on role with a security‑focused mindset, partnering closely with Vulnerability Management and Endpoint teams in a low risk‑tolerance environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands‑on Tanium experience (required).
- Experience using Tanium for endpoint remediation and compliance.
- Experience with or around Tanium Comply.
- Windows endpoint experience (Windows 10/11).

- Understanding of CVEs, severity, and vulnerability prioritization.
- Experience patching and remediating Windows endpoints.
- Experience with Group Policy.
- Ability to explain remediation work using security and risk language.
- Comfortable working through large backlogs to closure.
- Comfortable working in a low risk‑tolerance environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable.
- Experience with endpoint compliance or configuration tools (e.g., GyTPOL).
- Experience reducing large vulnerability or compliance backlogs.
- Exposure to zero‑day vulnerability remediation on endpoints.
- Consulting or advisory experience helping teams stabilize environments.
- Experience supporting remote and hybrid endpoint populations.
