Endpoint Protection Engineer

Tier 4 Group is hiring an Endpoint Protection Technology Services Engineer to join a healthcare-focused IT services organization committed to delivering secure, reliable technology so providers can focus on exceptional patient care.

This is a hands-on role supporting a multi-client, multi-tenant environment with thousands of endpoints(specifically desktops, laptops, and servers) across highly regulated healthcare systems and senior living communities. You’ll own endpoint protection and patch compliance while helping elevate overall security maturity for our clients.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of endpoint security across primarily Windows environments, with some exposure to macOS. You’ll plan, test, and execute phased OS and application patch deployments, ensuring validation, rollback readiness, and consistent compliance.

You’ll deploy, manage, and continuously tune EDR/XDR solutions, investigate alerts, and respond to potential threats. Your work will include threat hunting, incident response, and post-incident analysis to improve the long-term security posture. You’ll also harden endpoints using CIS-aligned baselines, address vulnerability findings, and automate reporting and compliance workflows using PowerShell and APIs.

Just as important, you’ll partner directly with clients—leading security discussions, participating in reviews, and translating technical outcomes into clear business risk and next steps. This role goes beyond ticket resolution; you’ll act as a trusted security advisor.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in endpoint security and patch management, preferably in an MSP or multi-tenant environment
• Strong hands-on experience with endpoint management and EDR/XDR platforms
• Working knowledge of vulnerability management and endpoint hardening
• Intermediate PowerShell skills for automation and reporting
• Solid Windows endpoint, AD/Entra, and networking fundamentals
• Comfort working in compliance-driven, change-managed environments
• Clear, confident communication skills in client-facing security discussions
