About the Role

Endocrinologist Endocrinology & Diabetes Hackensack University Medical Center Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Endocrinologist to join our dynamic team and health network. This position offers an exciting blend of in-depth patient care, opportunities for scholarly work, and involvement in medical education. The role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while contributing to the growth and development of our endocrinology services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of professional activities, including direct patient care, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives. Provide continuous and comprehensive clinical care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders. ? Support the preoperative consultative service for patients with diabetes. ? Facilitate inpatient diabetes consultations for medical and surgical patients ? Assume a teaching role for medical students, residents, advanced practice providers and endocrinology fellows. ? Assist in developing patient care protocols, hospital-based policies and discharge planning to improve care optimization ? Collaborate with diabetes care and education specialists to improve patient education and diabetes care. ? Participate in the equitable 24/7/365 on-call schedule, including weeknights, weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage, in collaboration with practice physicians. ? Provide seven (7) 24-hour periods of unrestricted hospital call coverage every eight (8) weeks for Emergency Department and inpatient endocrinology consultations. MD, DO Degree from a recognized medical school; ? Completion of a fellowship in endocrinology in a recognized institution; ? Experience in endocrinology/diabetes and/or an affiliation with an academic institution ? Ability to relate effectively to all levels of the clinical and administrative structure of the medical center as well as of other institutions affiliated with the Division of Endocrinology ? Board Certified Internal Medicine & Endocrinology ?
