What you will be doing: Use your technical knowledge and experience to develop and deliver embedded software for our clients’ products. Collaborate with and contribute your technical expertise with technical project teams. Demonstrate innovation by voicing your creative solutions, with both internal and external teams. Lead and mentor other engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience, while influencing best practices. Grow your expertise partnering with our outstanding team. There’s never an end to learning. What we need from you: BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/BSE), Computer Engineering (BSCE), or Computer Science (BSCS). 2+ years of professional success in embedded software development. Knowledgeable of high-level, systems programming languages (C/C++/Rust) as well as scripting languages. Proficiency in developing and optimizing video pipelines, including experience with camera driver integration and configuration for embedded systems. Hands‑on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms, including Orin‑based GPUs, CUDA programming, and Image Signal Processor (ISP) tuning. Deep understanding of GStreamer framework for multimedia processing, along with expertise in video encoding/decoding technologies such as H.264 and H.265. Knowledge of Video for Linux 2 (V4L2) API for interfacing with video devices, and familiarity with hardware‑accelerated video processing workflows. Experience and/or interest in working close with external clients, offering creative technical solutions. Unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship. What we also like to see: Experience with multiple microcontrollers, cores, and technologies including ARM, NXP, Microchip, and Texas Instruments. Familiarity with many embedded communication standards like SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN, USB, etc. Salary Information The annualized salary ranges below represent hiring guidelines. DornerWorks considers multiple factors when determining base compensation including experience and specialization of skills.
