Your Impact at SAM A GIS Field Technician is responsible for acquiring field data for various utilities with the intent of populating asset information in a GIS database. You will work in the field with your co‑workers, using the latest GPS technology to accurately inventory utility assets for cities and utility companies. Position is 100% outdoors and requires walking long distances in a variety of terrain and weather conditions Work can be anywhere in the continental US. Must be willing to travel. Interpret record drawings and materials to confidently navigate a project area. Effectively work with other crew members and project management in a professional manner. Communicate confidently with client representatives at the project location when necessary. Follow all company safety procedures and dress codes. Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager.
