We are currently seeking a Documentation Specialist 1 to join our highly skilled, dynamic team. Join our team as a Documentation Specialist 1, where you will support document control and quality compliance within the medical device industry. The pay range for this role is $19 - $22 an hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other candidate qualifications. What Nortech Offers:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work under close supervision on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required and typically detailed instructions on work are given.
  • Review and interpret customer prints/bills of materials/special requirements, etc. as assigned.
  • Complete contact reviews to ensure customer requirements are met as directed.
  • Organize and maintain controlled documents in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Maintain quality and safety records in accordance with internal procedures and as directed.
  • Assist in the coordination and review of documentation for source inspections.
  • Assist in maintaining quality reports as assigned and in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Enter, update and/or maintain Bills of Materials as assigned.
  • Process Engineering change requests in accordance with Nortech's Engineering Change Request (ECR) system requirements as directed.
  • Communicate status of Engineering Changes to Engineers and Project Managers as directed.
  • Ensure all documents match approved DCRs before distribution.
  • Support documentation revisions using Word, Excel, CAD, and Pro-E. PDF/TIFF all approved revisions of customer supplied documents.
  • Work one-on-one with customers for documentation support as directed.
  • Participate in and contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Participate in regular Change Review Board meetings.
  • Support Internal and External audits and special projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate and support Nortech's Mission, Core Values, policies and procedures at all times.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Three months of experience:
    • Accurately reading, reviewing and interpreting complex technical documentation.
    • Using electronic devices to enter, maintain, and update technical information in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Performing tasks requiring strong accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Performing effectively as part of a team, including regular communication using verbal, written, and electronic/digital formats.
  • Basic proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry, and related software tools.

Education & Background:

Required: One-year certificate from college or technical school.

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year technical college.
  • One year of experience as described above.
  • Experience working with engineering documentation in a medical device, aerospace, defense, or similar high tech manufacturing environment.
