Dialysis Program Manager

Encompass Health is seeking a Dialysis Program Manager to lead and advance our dialysis services within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. As part of a nationally recognized provider of facility-based and home-based patient care, you will play a key leadership role at the intersection of complex medical management and patient-centered rehabilitation.
In this position, you will oversee the daily operations and clinical performance of the dialysis program, ensuring that every patient receives safe, effective, and compassionate dialysis care. You will provide direct and indirect leadership to dialysis nurses and technicians, guiding the team in the delivery of specialized treatments for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease who are undergoing intensive rehabilitation.
Your responsibilities will include performing and supervising comprehensive dialysis assessments, developing individualized treatment and care plans, and closely monitoring patient responses to therapy. You will collaborate with nephrologists, rehabilitation physicians, therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to align dialysis treatments with each patient’s functional goals and overall plan of care.
The Dialysis Program Manager will be accountable for maintaining regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as Encompass Health’s policies and dialysis best practices. You will champion strict infection prevention and control measures, safe vascular access management, and adherence to all clinical protocols. Through ongoing monitoring of quality indicators, patient outcomes, and satisfaction metrics, you will identify opportunities for improvement and implement evidence-based initiatives that enhance program quality and efficiency.
Operationally, you will manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for the dialysis service, ensuring appropriate coverage and timely treatments. You will help develop and manage the program budget, oversee supply and equipment needs, and collaborate with hospital leadership on strategic planning and growth of dialysis services. You will also support the orientation, training, and continuing education of dialysis staff to foster professional development and clinical excellence.
