Diagnostic Technologist

Medstar Health is looking for a Diagnostic Technologist to join our team!

This is a PRN position.

We are looking for fora registered Radiology Technologist with excellent communication skills. 

The Diagnostic Technologist will make a difference on our team by performing diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation.

Primary Duties:

• Acquires 60;ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to 60;appropriate destinations 60;for interpretation. 60;

• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. 60;Performs preventative maintenance regularly.

• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures. 60;Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares and 60;maintains 60;room.

• Performs radiographic examinations. 60;Prepares 60;written 60;documentation such 60;as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. 60;

• Requests and will order 60;supplies.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland.

• Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Associate degree 60;preferred. 60;
