About the Role
Title: Network Engineer Department: IT Services Group General Function Provide complete IT services to a wide range of SMB customers. (Small company, 6 employees). Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions Performs IT services both onsite and remotely for a range of SMB customers in a range of vertical markets. Creates or updates customer computer records. Enters time and notes for work done used for billing purposes. Researches and resolves customer IT issues using all available resources. Assists other technicians when needed. Reporting Relationships Reports directly to owner Direction Given: Occasional follow-up with customers, regular monitoring of time entry. Assignment and guidance of special tasks or new customers. Minimum Requirements 2 or 4 year IT degree and/or 3-5 years of hands on IT experience as it relates to the SMB market, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics Ability to work independently; Knowledge of Microsoft products and solutions; familiarity with PC and server hardware; Knowledge of computer and office applications; Knowledge of infrastructure hardware and software; Basic problem solving skills; Oral communication skills; Ability to work with people with diverse backgrounds. Thoroughness and ability to complete tasks unsupervised. Working Conditions Combination of remote and onsite IT work done for a wide range of customers. Most located in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area. Some light to medium lifting of computers and other IT equipment. Near continuous use of computers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
