Position Title: Associate Quality Analyst
Work Location: North Chicago, IL 60085
Assignment Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: 40-hour work week (supporting Central time zone)
Position Summary:
Responsible for identifying, capturing, analyzing, and managing the companys quality data, contributing to better decision-making and proactive working. A keen interest in statistics is desirable, knowledge of control charts and process capability is a benefit but not essential as full training will be provided.
Background & Context:
This role is within the Operations Quality Engineering team focused on trend monitoring and statistical process control.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifying, capturing, analyzing, and managing quality data
Basic statistical analysis
Creating and interpreting control charts (IMR charts)
Calculating process capability indices
Drafting reports
Communicating with cross-functional teams and other sites
Data entry/verification, statistical report review, and maintaining logs for report tracking
Handling routine analytical work with constant influx of requests, plus ad hoc and custom analysis requests
Qualifications & Experience:
Associate degree or 1 year experience with statistics
Basic knowledge of statistics including mean, standard deviation, control limits
Experience or familiarity with statistical analysis
Control charts (IMR charts)
Process capability indices
Strong Excel skills, particularly macros within Excel
Exposure to tools such as JMP, Minitab, Tibco (plus but not required; can be learned on the job)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Good interpersonal relations / communications skills
Good negotiation skills
Fast learner, adaptability and ability to work on own with little direction
Must be highly organized and have good attention to detail
