Data Processing Student Intern
About the Role
The Skills Advantage Data Processing Student Intern will review, organize and compile student Canvas course data related to Transferable Skills badges.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Review Canvas course data to identify students enrolled in Transferable Skills badge pathways.
- Data analysis and data visualization on portfolio submissions.
- Compile and maintain accurate spreadsheets tracking student participation and progress.
- Identify and prioritize graduating students.
- Communicate and track communication with students regarding badge completion.
- Attend meetings and workshops.
- Assist with additional data-related tasks that support the Skills Advantage program.
Other Duties Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a student at the University and in good academic standing.
- Working proficiency in spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Familiarity with Canvas and learning management systems.
- Strong writing skills, oral communication, detail-oriented and organizational skills.
- Availability to work 10-15 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with data processing, data analysis, data visualization.
- Interest in education or student success initiatives.
- Federal Work Study (FWS) students encouraged to apply!
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to respond to supervision, guidance, and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies.
- Ability to work well both independently and in team settings.
