About the Role
Position: Data Engineer
Compensation: $70 - $82 /hour
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Engineer to join their team!
Join a dynamic team as a Senior Data Engineer, where you'll design and build scalable data solutions within a Microsoft Fabric environment. This is a hands-on and strategic role, perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure tools
- Design scalable data solutions across Lakehouse and SQL-based environments
- Write and optimize complex SQL (stored procedures, queries, performance tuning)
- Implement data quality checks and validation within pipelines
- Partner with analytics and business teams to translate needs into technical solutions
- Apply modern data modeling approaches (e.g., Medallion-style architectures)
- Support CI/CD and deployment processes using Azure DevOps and Git
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5–7+ years in data engineering or similar role
- Strong SQL Server and T-SQL experience
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory
- Proficiency in Python (PySpark preferred)
- Understanding of modern cloud data architecture
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
- Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns (Medallion, Data Vault, etc.)
- Azure certifications or DevOps experience
