Customer Service Specialist- Abbeyville Family Medicine (part Time/day & Evening Shift)

About the Role

Penn Medicine - - Responsibilities: Performs complete and accurate patient registration including walk in, check-in, and/or scheduled.; Supports inbound and outbound calls to or from patients, guests, or appropriate parties to provide services.; Effectively manages general patient complaints/concerns and escalates complex issues to supervisor/manager.; Verifies patient, guarantor, coverage and hospital account information; performs referral/authorization processes and enters orders for tests.; Disseminates or discusses information with patients regarding co-pays, pre-appointment preparation, arrival times, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Register patients and manage check-in/out
  • Handle patient communications and inquiries
  • Escalate complex issues to supervisor

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in customer service or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
