Avera Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our regional health system based in Sioux Falls, SD. In this role, you will perform high‑quality CT imaging studies in a fast‑paced clinical environment, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients across a wide range of ages and clinical conditions. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will prepare and position patients, select appropriate imaging protocols, operate advanced CT equipment, and ensure optimal image quality while strictly adhering to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles. You will assess patient history, explain procedures with empathy, monitor patients during and after scans, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition, including contrast reactions. Responsibilities include verifying physician orders, reviewing lab values and contraindications, initiating and monitoring IV contrast injections, documenting procedures in the electronic medical record, and assisting with workflow coordination to minimize patient wait times.
