About the Role

Manchester Memorial Hospital, part of Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN), is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high‑quality CT imaging studies for a diverse patient population in an acute care hospital environment, supporting emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will verify provider orders, screen patients for safety and contrast contraindications, explain procedures clearly, obtain informed consent as required, and position patients accurately to produce diagnostic images while minimizing radiation dose. You will operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and related equipment, select appropriate imaging protocols, perform IV starts and administer contrast media per protocol, monitor patients throughout procedures, and recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or adverse reactions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record and PACS, ensuring proper image labeling, following departmental workflow and quality assurance processes, and adhering strictly to ALARA, infection prevention, and safety standards. The CT Technologist will assist with workflow prioritization in a fast‑paced environment, coordinate STAT and trauma exams, support on‑call and weekend/holiday rotations as needed, and help maintain a clean, safe, and patient‑centered imaging environment. You will contribute to a culture that values compassionate care, clear and respectful communication, and teamwork, supporting ECHN’s mission to enhance patient health outcomes and meet community health needs. The ideal candidate is a registered radiologic technologist with CT experience, strong technical and patient‑care skills, attention to detail, and the desire to grow professionally through continuing education, protocol development, and participation in performance improvement initiatives within a supportive, community‑oriented hospital setting.
