Work Shift
The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities. Region Two includes Douglas Medical Center, Cobb Hospital, and Paulding Medical Center.
As a CT Technologist for Region Two, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve. Work Shift
~ Full Time
Multiple shift options available to self-schedule up to 8 weeks in advance
Monthly schedule includes 2 Monday shifts , 2 Friday shifts , and 3 weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
This position is eligible for full-time benefits
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting
Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
ARRT-R (Radiography)
ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
Perform CT exams per physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards.
Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and screen for contraindications (including contrast risk).
Operate CT scanners and power injectors safely; Optimize technique to achieve diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA).
Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings/clinical changes, and involve the radiologist/physician when indicated.
Perform, document, and follow through on QC checks, calibration verification, and compliance/audit standards.
Maintain smooth daily operations by prioritizing workload, supporting cross-coverage/clerical needs, keeping rooms stocked and equipment cleaned/disinfected, participating in on-call, and adhering to regulatory/Joint Commission standards.
