About the Role

Novant Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled CSSO Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across Novant Health facilities within the centralized staffing and scheduling (CSSO) structure, supporting units that need additional clinical coverage. You will use your clinical expertise, sound judgment, and commitment to safety to deliver exceptional care to diverse patient populations, often adapting quickly to different hospital units and care environments.
As a CSSO Registered Nurse, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor patient responses. You will utilize advanced technology and electronic health record systems to document accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team. You will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, and other team members to coordinate care that improves patient outcomes and aligns with Novant Health’s mission of improving health, one person at a time.
Your responsibilities will include providing direct bedside care, managing IV therapies, performing wound care and other technical procedures within your scope of practice, and serving as a key resource for patients and their families. You will educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions, promoting understanding and self-management. You will uphold strict infection prevention practices, contribute to a safe environment, and promptly report and help address changes in patient condition or safety concerns.
