Coop Student - Security Officer

These Co-ops are Full-Time Day shift Department based internship. Incumbent receives academic credit in accordance with school and internship guidelines. Internship provides hands-on learning experience. Seeking students that are enrolled in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology and Healthcare. You'll be on the front lines of safetygaining invaluable skills in de-escalation, communication, emergency response, and crisis management. Duties:

• Patrol hospital grounds to prevent theft, safety risks, and unauthorized activity
• Support patients, visitors, and staff with empathy and professionalism
• Respond to incidents and assist in emergency situations
• Gain exposure to hospital operations and multidisciplinary teams
• Operate real-time security tools: CCTV, alarms, and access systems
• Train in handcuffing, defensive tactics, and de-escalation strategies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Good time management skills.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Ability to take and follow direction.
• Willingness to learn.
