About the Role
About who needs care: My father has dementia; he gets confused and wanders off and has trouble with completing tasks. My mother will be in house most of the time for any questions or large issues, but I am looking for someone to give her break and prevent caregiver burnout.
About the care needs: Patience to not step in an complete a task for him, ability to calmly clarify instructions, ability to give short 1- 2 step instructions and wait for compliance, keep him engaged in activities and keep watch on him while he is out. He works in the garden / yard a lot.
