Cloud & Software Engineer (m/f/d)
About the Role
ATMOS Space Cargo is seeking a Cloud Systems & Software Engineer to join the Ground Systems & Mission Operations Team and support the development of the ATMOS Ground Segment. The focus of this position is the design and construction of a scalable cloud infrastructure hosting the ground systems that enable the operation of the PHOENIX spacecraft via a network of ground stations. Additionally, the candidate is expected to contribute to the software development and operations in the team as needed, serving in a multi-functional role (DevOps). Responsibilities Design the infrastructure for orchestrating ATMOS's ground system services on the cloud, using Infrastructure-as-Code to manage and provision scalable cloud systems. Monitor the cloud infrastructure to maximize availability of deployed services and ensure security by adhering to modern cyber security best practices. Communicate with customers and ground station providers and integrate their systems with the ATMOS Ground Segment. Support the development of ground systems software and automate the building, testing, and deployment of the software. Profile required 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure Strong background in networking and cyber security Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or other STEM subject Familiarity with containerization technologies, preferably Docker & Kubernetes Experience in developing production-level software Preferred qualifications Familiarity with DevOps principles Familiarity with Terraform Programming skills in Python, NodeJs, Java Experience working with IONOS Cloud Experience administrating PostgreSQL databases Prior working experience in the space sector Company description ATMOS was founded as a European company built on the values of freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights.
