Registered Nurse Icu Staffing Pool Part Time

Mission Health, a comprehensive healthcare provider based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ICU Staffing Pool in a part-time capacity. In this role, you will provide high-acuity, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients across our intensive care units, floating as needed to support patient volumes and acuity. You will complete focused and comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, ventilator settings, and response to therapy. The ICU Staffing Pool RN collaborates continuously with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered care. You will educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans, while serving as their advocate and maintaining open, respectful communication. Responsibilities include accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record, adherence to all infection-prevention and patient-safety protocols, participation in rapid responses and code situations, and escalation of changes in patient condition. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, follow ICU and hospital policies and procedures, and support a culture of teamwork, respect, and professional growth.
