Job Description:
Performs and demonstrates competency, proficiency and understanding of the test procedures in the Clinical Laboratory up to and including high complexity testing.Education:
Bachelor of Science Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or Microbiology - Required
Experience:
Additional Experience Requirements:
If no B.S Degree in the above areas, must have a Bachelor's Degree with specific completed course requirements outlined below:
16 semester or equivalent quarter units of chemistry, which must include clinical chemistry or analytical and biochemistry.
18 semester or equivalent quarter units of biology, which must include hematology, immunology, and medical microbiology.
3 semester or equivalent quarter units of physics (light and electricity).
Certifications/Licensures:
CLS Clinical Lab Scientist (MTA) - California Department of Public Health - Laboratory Field Service or
Clinical Microbiologist Scientist - California Department of Public Health - Laboratory Field Service - Required

08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:
$65.04 - $87.78HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.

Responsibilities
- Perform and validate clinical laboratory tests including high complexity testing
- Maintain competency in test procedures and ensure quality control
- Provide per diem clinical lab services during 8-hour shifts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology/chemistry/biochemistry or MLS/CLS with required coursework; California CLS license (MTA) or Clinical Microbiologist Scientist license
