About the Role

The primary role is to develop the Medical Assistant Teams and Medical Assistant Leads at SCL Health Medical Group Clinics with a focus on workflows, protocols and team building and development. This role will strongly collaborate with the Clinic Managers and partner with Process Improvement, Ambulatory Informatics, Pharmacy and other system resources.
Responsible for development and coaching of Medical Assistants (MA) Responsible for developing MA and MA lead clinic orientation and training materials. education and training of MA staff Coach providers and MAs on building trusting work relationships that maximize patient centered care Make quality improvement recommendations by observing work Participate in clinic QI (Quality Improvement) meetings to support MA driven participate in clinic process improvement projects that focus on the MA role Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) course completion card from the American Heart Association Two years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor’s of Nursing 3+ years of clinical nursing experience. Primary care nursing &/or Specialty care experience preferred.1+ years of leadership/management including process improvement and change management experience.
