You will play an active role in patient and family education, helping families understand their birth plans, procedures, and postpartum expectations, while honoring cultural preferences and supporting shared decision-making.
As a frontline leader, you will mentor and coach bedside nurses, new graduates, and travelers, fostering a supportive learning environment and encouraging continuous professional growth. You will participate in staff evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and help identify and address learning needs. The Charge Nurse will collaborate with unit leadership on quality improvement initiatives, clinical projects, and performance metrics aimed at enhancing maternal and neonatal outcomes, patient experience, and staff engagement.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to UCHealth’s mission of patient-centered care within a nonprofit, academic-influenced health system. You will have access to ongoing training, education, and development resources to advance your practice and leadership skills. UCHealth provides competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans, within a supportive, team-based environment that values diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise in labor and delivery nursing, excellent communication and critical-thinking skills, and a calm, organized presence during high-acuity and rapidly changing situations.
