Certified Occupational Therapist ~ Cota

Stellar Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting residents in our senior living communities. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high‑quality, resident‑centered rehabilitative care that promotes independence, safety, and quality of life for older adults in independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings. You will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, focusing on activities of daily living, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and adaptive techniques to help residents maintain or regain their highest level of functioning. Daily responsibilities include carrying out therapeutic exercises and activities, training residents in the use of adaptive equipment, documenting treatment sessions and progress in accordance with regulatory standards, and communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary care team, residents, and families. You will collaborate closely with nursing staff to support safe transfers, fall prevention, and care planning while modeling Stellar Senior Living’s culture of dedicated, compassionate service. The ideal candidate is patient, empathetic, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced senior care environment with residents who may have complex medical, cognitive, or mobility needs. You will be expected to follow infection control and safety protocols, participate in care conferences, provide education to residents and caregivers, and contribute to a positive, supportive community that encourages personal growth and engagement.
