About the Role
Duke University - - Responsibilities: Perform journeyman level carpentry work in the maintenance and repair of Medical Center buildings, additions, and fixtures (floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, and screens).; Use appropriate carpentry and woodworking tools to complete assignments and follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.; Plan work ensuring adequate materials and labor to complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner; report unusual issues to supervisor.; Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with applicable codes and procedures; complete or direct any rework or modifications.; Complete required documentation such as work orders, inventory forms, and maintenance documents; use computer software for maintenance tasks and compliance requirements.
