The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical coverage with 24-hour call responsibilities managing complex procedures including adult cardiac surgery, general thoracic surgery, CABG operations, off-pump CABG, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, heart valve repair and replacement procedures, thoracic aortic aneurysm repairs, and various thoracic interventions including lung resections, decortication, and mediastinal surgery. The position requires board certification in cardiothoracic surgery with continuous on-site availability for emergency cases and STEMI interventions. Daily responsibilities include performing surgical procedures, conducting patient rounds, managing postoperative complications, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes across the facility's cardiothoracic surgery service line.
