Campus Security Officer

Wage: $19.00 per hour. Work hours vary with an average of 32–40 hours per week. The Security Officer will be on call to cover open shifts, primarily covering 2nd and 3rd shifts, with no set schedule. Responsibilities Provide security coverage for open shifts as needed. Conduct interior and exterior patrols, walking up to 3 miles per day. Maintain a professional, courteous, and customer‑focused presence. Complete written reports and use computer systems accurately and timely. Qualifications Minimum of two years security experience, or experience in law enforcement, corrections or the military. Full and valid driver’s license required. Excellent customer service skills. Strong computer proficiency and written communication skills. Physical capability to work indoors and outdoors, walking long distances. Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and overnight shifts. Job Requirements Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites to provide security and safety for client property and personnel. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, may require climbing stairs, walking inclines, and uneven terrain. Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds; may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Must pass drug screen and background check. Must meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard. Benefits Retirement plan.
