About the Role

Rockwoods is looking for a motivated Business Analyst with a solid foundation in small business lending to help bridge the gap between operations and technology. You'll work closely with both the business and technical teams to document requirements, map out processes, and support improvements to the loan origination workflow. What You'll Do

• Gather and document business requirements for small business loan origination systems in collaboration with operations and technical teams
• Review existing lending workflows and flag inefficiencies or areas for improvement
• Support the translation of credit policy and business rules into functional system requirements
• Create and maintain process documentation for loan processing, underwriting, and closing procedures
• Act as a reliable point of contact between the operations team and developers during system changes or enhancements
• Assist in monitoring system performance post-launch and help gather feedback for ongoing improvements
• Ensure workflows and system updates stay aligned with lending regulations and internal compliance standards.

What You Bring

• 4-6 years of Business Analysis experience, ideally within financial services, fintech, or lending
• Familiarity with small business loan origination or credit operations direct experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of loan origination systems (LOS) and the lending lifecycle
• Ability to document workflows clearly and communicate requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders
• Exposure to Agile methodologies is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
