Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to serve as a vital link between technical teams and business stakeholders within a dynamic IT environment. This role focuses on analyzing and enhancing business processes, supporting system implementations, and ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals in a regulated energy sector context.

• Acts as a liaison between technical staff and business owners to facilitate clear communication and understanding.
• Contributes advanced expertise in defining system scope and objectives aligned with the organization's business plan and user requirements.
• Documents detailed business and user requirements, process flow definitions, and functional specifications.
• Develops and formulates test plans in collaboration with QA and partner groups, preparing for business user testing.
• Coordinates with users to gather, validate, and document business needs, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Maintains and updates project documentation repositories, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Leads project teams through the process of gaining business user acceptance and approval.
• Reviews project progress, evaluates results for accuracy and efficiency, and implements improvements as needed.

• Proficiency in systems development, implementation, upgrades, and related analysis.
• Experience with QA testing, business analyst methodologies, and system design and analysis.
• Strong training and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX, with a hybrid schedule (Monday-Thursday onsite, Friday remote).

• Prior experience in energy management, power systems, or related regulated industries.
• Familiarity with project documentation tools and process modeling.
• Certification in business analysis or related fields.
