Associate Attorney Law

Gupta and Ayres is a boutique litigation law firm in San Diego and has an immediate opening for a litigation Associate Attorney to join the Practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 0-2 years of civil litigation experience, be licensed to practice in California, and have a background in business and/or real estate disputes. This is an opportunity for an attorney to create his or her own environment and actively shape the growth of something special. Proven skills in writing, analysis, oral advocacy, and research are essential. The Attorney will have the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of litigation and must show a strong desire to handle a case at all stages, including responding to demand letters, drafting and responding to complaints, conducting depositions, coordinating discovery, drafting legal research memos, motions, briefs and declarations, attending hearings and providing oral arguments and assisting with trial. The Practice offers a base salary with benefits and an attorney bonus structure beginning after six months. The Practice also provides paid vacation, paid health insurance, and participation in the firm's 401K matching plan. Litigation (90%)*· *Initial meeting with Senior Attorney and potential client;

• Draft initial demand letters and pre-litigation correspondence;
• Draft initial Complaint based on client interviews;
• Draft response(s) to Complaint based on circumstances.

· *Developing case strategy with Senior Attorneys, including budgets and discovery plans;

• Draft pleadings responsive to Complaint (e.g. Draft and propound basic written discovery;
• Research and Writing*
• Trial preparation and assistance during trials;
• Post-litigation matters and judgment enforcement.
