Job Details
We are seeking a Licensed Electrician I to join our team and support a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This role involves installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety and code standards.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to plan and execute electrical work.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Layout and install conduit systems, lighting systems, control systems, and motor feeders.
- Perform standard motor connections.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentices and helpers.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and job sites in clean and safe condition.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and comply with all OSHA and customer safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent (minimum 8,000 hours of experience).
- Active state electrician license.
- Ability to travel 60–75% of the time.
- Availability to work weekdays between 6 AM and 6 PM, with occasional nights, weekends, or holidays depending on project needs.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and industrial/commercial electrical systems.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
Core Technical Skills
- Electrical Installation & Maintenance
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems (lighting, motors, feeders, control systems).
- Wiring and conduit installation.
- Motor connections and basic control wiring.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
- Diagnosing electrical issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Using testing equipment like multimeters, ammeters, and voltage testers.
- Code & Safety Compliance
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety standards.
