Assistant Director Of Rehabilitation Services
Life Care Centers
Wyoming, Michigan, US
About the Role
Life Care Centers is seeking an Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services to support the leadership and coordination of therapy services in a senior-focused healthcare and medical services environment. As part of Life Care Centers of America—recognized for compassionate, quality care in senior living and rehabilitation—you will play a key role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional, patient-first rehabilitation services in a family-focused setting.
Working closely with the Director of Rehabilitation, the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services helps oversee daily operations of the therapy department, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. This role assists with supervising and supporting therapy staff, organizing caseloads, and helping to ensure that treatment plans are individualized, evidence-based, and aligned with each patient’s goals and overall care plan. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal clinical outcomes and safe, timely discharges.
The Assistant Director helps maintain a strong focus on quality and compliance, supporting adherence to federal, state, and organizational regulations, documentation standards, and reimbursement guidelines. You will assist with monitoring clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and departmental productivity, and you will contribute to ongoing performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives. In partnership with the Director, you may help with scheduling, staff orientation and training, coaching team members, and promoting a positive, team-based work environment.
This role is well-suited for a licensed rehabilitation professional who is passionate about working with older adults, values compassionate, patient-centered care, and is interested in developing leadership skills. At Life Care Centers, you can expect a collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes patient care, professional growth, and excellence in healthcare outcomes. The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services will be a visible and engaged leader on the unit, supporting both patients and staff while helping to uphold Life Care Centers’ commitment to quality, dignity, and respect in every interaction.
