Arrt Radiology / Limited License X-ray Technologist
About the Role
Physicians Care, a nonprofit organization providing free healthcare services to uninsured adults in Cobb County, Georgia, is seeking an ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. Our clinic offers medical, dental, and pharmacy services to improve community health and reduce unnecessary ER visits, and this role plays a key part in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging to support safe, effective patient care. As an ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist at Physicians Care, you will perform routine diagnostic X-ray exams for adult patients in an outpatient clinic setting, using approved imaging protocols and adhering to all radiation safety standards. You will position patients accurately, operate digital radiography equipment, verify proper technique, and ensure images are of diagnostic quality for interpretation by our medical providers. You will maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and OSHA requirements, while promoting a safe environment for patients, staff, and volunteers. You will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, and other care team members to support clinical decision-making and timely patient flow. Your responsibilities will include reviewing imaging orders, confirming patient identity, explaining procedures in clear, compassionate language, and helping patients feel comfortable and respected throughout their visit. You may assist with basic clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs or helping with room turnover, always within your scope of practice and training. This position is well-suited for a technologist who values service, teamwork, and community impact. Physicians Care’s culture emphasizes compassion, dedication, and a strong commitment to underserved populations. Employees and volunteers experience a supportive, mission-driven environment focused on improving patient care and community health. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated medical professionals while gaining valuable experience in nonprofit healthcare, community medicine, and resource-conscious clinical practice. Key aspects of this role include maintaining and calibrating X-ray equipment according to clinic protocols, documenting exams accurately in the electronic medical record and imaging systems, following radiation protection principles for patients and staff, and participating in quality assurance activities. You will monitor supplies related to imaging services, promptly report equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvements in workflow and patient experience. The ideal candidate brings formal training in radiologic technology, current ARRT certification or a valid limited license, and familiarity with outpatient or urgent care environments. Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively with patients who may be anxious, uninsured, or experiencing complex social challenges are essential. Reliability, professionalism, and respect for the clinic’s mission are critical to success in this role. This is an on-site clinical position in Cobb County, Georgia, requiring consistent in-person presence to operate imaging equipment and provide direct patient care. While the pace can be busy, you will be part of a close-knit team that supports one another and shares a common purpose: expanding access to high-quality healthcare for adults who otherwise might go without needed services. If you are a Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologist seeking meaningful work where every exam contributes directly to community well-being, Physicians Care invites you to apply and help us advance our mission.
