Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves supporting healthcare providers by managing patient care tasks and ensuring smooth clinical operations tailored to the needs of the practice.
Essential Responsibilities:- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging as necessary, while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
- Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records.
- Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications and logs.
- Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, ensuring proper consents are obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations.
- Distribute educational materials and support patient comprehension regarding treatments and medication usage.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program.
Work Shift: First shift, full-time (40 hours per week) in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
