An Advanced Practice Provider assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. In addition:

A Physician Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for rapid assessment, nursing diagnosis and works with MD partners to assure safe patient diagnostic testing and optimal plan of care. Performs advanced practice procedures. Utilizes the nursing process to promote/restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

A Physician Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for comprehensive care, support and education to patients and their families

through all aspects of their medical care process. Participates as a key member of the team to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. Utilizes a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach to the care of the patient/family serving as an expert practitioner, educator, consultant and researcher. Maintains responsibility for job performance specifications.


Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Physician Assistant Requirements:

  • Two years prior experience in gastroenterology highly preferred

  • Masters graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required

  • PA Certification by N.C.C.P.A. and current mid-level provider license by the state of Colorado required

  • BLS from the American Heart Association required

  • ACLS from the American Heart Association may be required

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

St. Anthony Hospital is a full-service, acute care hospital, inpatient acute rehabilitation, and Level I Trauma Center. A primary receiving center for the region's most seriously ill and injured patients, it is the original headquarters for Flight For Life® Colorado, an international model for air and ground transport services. Founded in 1893, St. Anthony Hospital moved to its eco-conscious Lakewood campus in 2011. Today, this state-of-the-art facility, its patient-oriented processes and advanced technology support physicians and employees across multiple award-winning areas of care. With a focus on expanding our healing footprint, St. Anthony Hospital opened its newest edition to the campus in 2023 - a 22,000 square foot Surgery Center with five new operating rooms and three endoscopy suites. The expanded Surgery Center supports pre-and post-procedural care locations and is equipped to serve at least 100 more patients each week.


Pay Range
$152,345 - $152,345 /year

  • Collaborate with MDs and multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans.
