Advanced Medical Assistant (ama)

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate patient care and clinical support in a busy practice setting. This role focuses on assisting with patient management, including prior authorizations and direct patient care, tailored to meet the dynamic needs of the clinic.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care directly or through delegation, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Provide reassurance, education, and clear guidance to patients.
• Ensure smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by accurately updating medical records, initiating patient contact, and preparing patients for examinations. Collect vital signs and patient history, observe and communicate abnormal findings to physicians, and document all relevant information.
• Support physicians with testing and treatment procedures, including medication sample management, arranging necessary tests or admissions, obtaining referrals, and assisting with minor surgeries and physicals. Ensure proper consents are obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes as needed.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.

Work Shift:

First shift, full-time (40 hours per week).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
