Adult Med Surg Registered Nurse

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking an Adult Med Surg Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our Medical-Surgical department. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. Working as a key member of an interdisciplinary care team, you will perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor patient responses, escalating changes in condition as needed. You will coordinate care and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff to promote optimal patient outcomes, safe transitions of care, and a positive patient and family experience. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record, adhering to all safety and infection prevention standards, and supporting quality improvement initiatives on the unit.
